For any of you who have read this blog in the past, I'm back. I'm still working on redoing the site, tweaked a few things, but not sure if I like it. One thing I am curious about is who of you on my links are still around and doing something with your blog, is it still useful to you?

Ok, it's not very often that a new rum makes it way into my mug. First was sailor jerry's, which if you haven't tried it, get going, it's awesome. Now, it's Capt. Morgan Tattoo, a dark rum with a little kick of black cherry at then end, WOW, is what I have to say. It's very good and goes down very smooth, people I ahve talked to who have tried it say they often drink it just on the rocks, it's that smooth. So there you are, listen to this Capt. and drink some rum damn it, try the Tattoo rum, it'll put a smile on your face and enhance your liver.

Isn't life great. I just read that Dennis Miller's show is getting cancelled, I love it. The flip flopped on being a democrat to a republican, after he was badmouthing a republican. Getting cancelled is like a kick in the ass, gotta love it. I don't wish the guy any ill will, but it's pretty damn funny that his show got canned, ha ha ha ha.

Recently movies are coming out like crazy, we all know the big ramp up for summertime. The thing I was thinking about was going to the movies, I read somewhere recently that movie goers are still low. I can see this, there are many reasons for it I believe. For one, prices are high on tickets, prices are high on snacks, those prices alone are ridiculous, especially when you know it's jacked up and not a higher cost the theaters are passing along to patrons, they just want more money, that's why I hit target before me and the wife go. Another reason is the waiting in a line to see a movie, it gets old, not to mention the shit load of previews, some are good, but I think it has gotten out of control. On top of all of that a big reason I hate going to the movies now, is the snacks that are now being served, when I watch a movie in a theater I don't want to hear some slob chomping on nachos or a number of the other foods that are now available, maybe I'm picky but the hell if I am going to pay 5-8 bucks for a ticket and listen to some jackass sucking his fingers after eating nachos and hearing that crunching sound, that's how movie rage happens. We all know movie rage, it's when you start pelting them with skittles because they are so damn annoying.

Just my take on the movie thing, thought I would share. It's definitely getting to be interesting with movies, since most are coming out on dvd within 6 months or so, it's almost not worth going to the theater.

Lately I've been reading quite a lot of books, it always happens this time of year. Lately, it's been the the Clive Cussler books, the Dirk Pitt series especially. If you haven't read any of them, give them a shot, quite an interesting take on adventure series novels, if you like archaeology and oceanography, you might enjoy the series. I've also been reading more Robert B. Parker books, the Spenser series and been looking at various other authors to try and see what I like. I love this time of the year, the sun comes out more, the weather is warmer and my hawaiian shirts get more use then any other clothing.

Ok, if you're in MN you might have heard or read about the guy who died after an altercation at the red carpet bar in st.cloud, mn. I've followed the story somewhat, mainly because I have been to this bar on numerous occassions. The thing I find intersting is that the story goes that he went there to celebrate his third child's birth, good idea, but it's a bar, he went there to get ripped. Also, he gets kicked out of the bar for drinking alot, good idea, he then comes back around an hour or two later, asking to use the phone to call for a cab. Yeah, anyone who has been to a bar knows they wouldn't allow you to do this, how the hell would they monitor you? Not to mention that their are a fair amount of pay phones in the area to make the call, why go back to the bar? Then, you have the people who blame the bar for giving him so many drinks, you know what, a bar shouldn't be responsible for that, if you cannot take responsibiltiy for your own behavior and how much you drink, then you need a baby sitter, people get off on having to be in charge of themselves too easy. If they blame the carpet, then blame the other bars he went to before he came back, not to mention he took a swing at a bouncer, who was more then likely just doing his job, stopping the guy from doing more damage.

I feel bad for the family, but to go on tv blaming a bar or the bouncer, easy to do if you don't know the whole story or care to listen to what your child may have done. It's sad that this will become a blame game instead of people just admitting what it is, an incident gone bad and an accident.

Ok, good ol boy bushy the bitch was on the tube last night, cutting in on shows and good entertainment. I still don't know why we have 24 hour news stations but choose to put his ugly mug on my local stations where things I want to watch are on. Anyways, I watched a whole 20 secs. of it and wow, what an idiot. For a pres. he is one of the worst public speakers ever elected to office. Seriously, you damn reps. voted for him, are you on crack as well. Hell, he talks about look what a c student can do, yeah it shows you ignorant fool. He blames other presidents, repeats himself numerous times and makes no sense, maybe he should go back to being an alcoholic, at least then he might be tolerable.

Also to note, I noticed they are trying to pass an abortion law stating you could be arrested if you have one along with the doctor. Uh, what happened to people having the freedom to choose what they want to do? Most of govt. are not women, so how can bushy or any other guy tell a female it is illegal for them to have womens rights and make their own decisions. My god people, get your head out of your asses, I've said once and I'll say it again, bushy is going to ruin our country, everything he does will take another president their whole term or two to fix. buishy doesn't have to like abortion or endorse it, but he also doesn't have a right to say you can or cannot do this or that. We've lost so many of our freedoms I wonder how many people realize that, everything from homeland security, also knows as bullshit 101 and everything we've ok'd or better yet, our representatives have ok'd will push us back to the 50's or earlier in what we can or cannot do. Along with the abortion rule will come the back alley abortions back again, because that's the measure people will have to go to.

I'm getting sick of not having a voice but keep being told we do have a voice, I'd love to meet bushy face to face and tell him what kind of a jackass he is.

I've been thinking lately about being a dad. I have it's great, I know it's cliche, but it is a great feeling to have someone that loves you so much and shows it simply by getting happy and smiling when you enter the room. I know many fathers who have changed who they are after becming a dad, and I tink it's sad. I know the ones that don't have anything to do with their wife anymore or the child much really. The thing I was thinking about is the fact that neither marriage nor having a child has changed who I am. It's added titles and responsibilities, but that is it, I'm still the same person I was before. I still go out to the bar on occassion and I am still acting the same way, mayeb I am lucky. Maybe it's the kid in me that helps me to stay the way I am, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Sorry it's been a while, my laptop decided that working was not something it wanted to do anymore, had to get it repaired. I just received it back after 2 weeks, finally I feel like myslef again. I'll be adding some posts soon to make up for time away. Capt.

What is it with people and tragedies. Everytime a kid shoots others at schools or someone is murdered, people always say, if only he (the shooter) had someone or found god he could have been saved. Texans love to do this when something occurs, but so do a lot of people. Anyone explain this stupid response, it's horseshit, and they know it. god is not going to stop someone from killing someone, you stop them or punish them for it by stopping them with whatever means possible. As I have said before, I'm an eye for an eye type of person, you kill you get killed, no if's and's or buts about it.
